Phil Hellmuth not only made the headlines by winning his 16th WSOP bracelet, but also by buying a half-eaten sandwich for $150 and a cheeseburger for 230!
Hard to find food at this hour. Just paid Greg $150 for 1/2 of a @SUBWAY Sandwich (Philly Cheesesteak)!! 10 days ago, late on Day 1 of a tourney paid $230 for a cheeseburger. 4 days ago paid @DeathDonkey $150 for a bag of trail mix. When you’re hungry… pic.twitter.com/MoO3EgV8OE

Phil Hellmuth pays $150 for 1/2 sandwich and $230 for a cheeseburger at 2021 WSOP
Phil Hellmuth had a great run at the 2021 WSOP so far winning a record 16th bracelet and making four final tables.
Theory has it that when you are on a sun run, you should spend as much time as possible on the poker tables to make the most out of it.
Phil knows that and of course pushes this principle to absolute extremes, so far that he even forgets to order food.
During the end of Day 1 of WSOP 2021 Event #27, a $1,500 H.O.R.S.E., the Poker Brat got very hungry.
The Poker Kitchen at the Rio was already closed at that time and apparently, Phil Hellmuth didn’t find a place, which delivers food to the RIO.
Christopher Vitch and Greg taking advantage of the situation
Poker players know that it is very difficult to play you’re A-Game on an empty stomach.
The Poker Brat got so anxious looking for food that even his table mates realized and they quickly took advantage of the situation.
Phil’s tablemate Greg offered him a Subway sandwich for $150 and the Poker Brat accepted the pricy offer!
And this is not all, not by a far margin as Phil Hellmuth paid an insane $230 for a cheeseburger to Chris Vitch earlier in this year’s World Series of Poker as well as $150 for a bag of trail mix.
“You lose all sense of value?”
The Poker Brat would not be the Poker Brat, if he wouldn’t be bragging about it on Twitter.
However, instead of credit the users harshly criticized his behaviour and loss of value:
You lose all sense of value?
