Doug Polk has posted a mischievous tweet insinuating that the novel coronavirus came from a lab in Wuhan, China. After almost a week of bickering over the WSOP’s decision to require vaccination to participate, Polk obviously thought it was amusing to stir the pot a little bit more.

The retired high-stakes legend was probably bored and thought he’d try and get a reaction out of the crowd, like he usually does.
After one poster told how he thinks the US government, FDA, and WHO are corrupt, Polk responded with the following tweet.
The people who created the vaccine are not government employees. They are hard working American capitalists who are solving complex problems for high pay! American ingenuity paving the way as it always has (And always should)!

The man known as “The Mouth” famously caught Covid-19 even after having both vaccines after venturing out of his house hardly ever over an 18 month period.
A trip to watch Conor McGregor in the UFC was all it took Matusow to end up at death’s door for a couple of weeks. All that said, he is not anti-vaccination he just believes in having a choice.
Will he follow up on his threat to boycott this year’s World Series of Poker? We’ll find out soon enough.
Nate Silver Says We Shouldn’t “Follow the Science”
On a more serious note, Doug Polk invited famous statistician Nate silver onto his podcast to discuss, amongst poker and the 2024 US presidential election, the current Covid-19 situation.
Silver recently posted a controversial tweet of his own saying we shouldn’t “follow the science.” His point was that both sides usually have science at play in their respective arguments.
“Experts disagree with one another on all these decisions, there is “science” on both sides, and this sort of rhetoric is often used as a cudgel to create a false sense of consensus.”
He made clear that he’s not an anti-vaxer in any way and cheekily gave an opinion that this year’s WSOP will be the toughest ever because intelligent people, on the whole, will have been vaccinated.
